United Nations  Human Rights Council

United Nations Human Rights Council is an inter-governmental body within the United Nations made up of 47 countries whose mission is to promote and protect human rights all around the world.


It provides the attention that is needed specifically to discuss all thematic human rights issues that require attention throughout the year. In our conference, the agenda item will be “Bringing justice, healing and freedom to black people across the globe.”. Racism is a pervasive and an elusive fact of our world.


Since this committee focuses on the discrimination that is directed towards black people, the committee will consider the historical legacy that includes involuntary slavery, constitutional denial of equal rights and ubiquitous and various forms of physical, emotional, social, economic, and psychological exploitation and oppression of black people being normalized while proposing new solutions and actions.
